Learn to fail well

I read recently that if you want to succeed, you need to learn to fail well.
Looked at logically failure is basically getting a different outcome to what you originally intended and with that viewpoint doesn't necessarily have to be a negative experience.

Many times I  have heard examples of how people who if they had stopped at the first sign of failure would never have discovered success in their work. I think failure should be seen more of an opportunity to learn and grow- to take on board what could be changed and then move forward. This is what I would like to fully grasp in my business and creativity for 2017 - learning to see that failure is not an end in itself but the start of something new. This is learning to fail well.
